Welcome to the Riverfront Parks Conservancy

Dedicated to the stewardship, enjoyment and improvement of the connected network of riverfront parks in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

THE RIVERFRONT

The overall aim of the Jacksonville Riverfront is to become a “Riverfront for All,” a place for everybody in Jacksonville to come together and enjoy the majestic St. Johns River through recreation, nature, arts and culture, dining and shipping, festivals and events, and more.  Exciting plans are funded and underway including the 2023 opening of Friendship Fountain.

ABOUT US

The Riverfront Parks Conservancy is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed to support the emerging downtown parks and riverwalk through a “Friends of the Park” agreement with the City of Jacksonville’s Parks & Recreation Department. The Conservancy model is common in successful urban park systems across the country and is an outgrowth of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund’s Riverfront Activation Study and benchmarking conducted by Riverfront Parks Now.

THE HIGH LINE NETWORK

The Jacksonville Riverfront is a member of the High Line Network, a community of peer nonprofit organizations representing industrial reuse projects, urban parks and public spaces.
